The Challenges

Back in 2015, Altran was facing 3 major parking challenges in its Belgian HQ:

Lack of parking spaces for employees

Due to the lack of spaces for back-office employees in Altran's building, the company had to rent a parking building with 80 spaces near its office. It was a "take all or nothing" kind of deal. They ended up with too many spaces and a massive increase in parking fixed costs.

No parking solution for their consultants

Altran had real trouble finding a global parking solution for their "in mission" consultants since their clients are often not supposed to offer parking facilities to external consultants.

Complexity and lack of visibility

Because of high staff turnover, high need for flexibility, and the necessity of multiple site management, the application of the parking policy quickly became a nightmare. Altran needed a standard tool.


The solutions

VALUE: Renting out the surplus

To avoid losing money on the surplus spaces of the parking they rented, BePark offered one of its services - VALUE. The aim was to make the parking available to neighbors and other companies who might face a shortage and to generate revenue to mitigate the fixed cost of the rental for Altran.

SPACES: Finding parking spots for consultants

To help Altran's consultants find spots when they have long term missions at their clients' offices, BePark tapped into their existing parking network to quickly find parking spots that could be designated for consultants.

PLATFORM: Advanced parking management

To optimize the management of its parking lots and manage the accesses depending on specific rules, BePark provided its parking management software. This solution contains all the necessary features to optimize parking management (access, priority rules, fleet management, pool vehicle management...).

As Altran moved to another location, we needed a user-friendly reservation system to optimize our available and valuable parking spots. The tool is an answer to our needs. It is user-friendly for drivers and for back office, reports are useful and can easily be downloaded. The reservation system is definitely an asset and highly recommended!
